Is it worth it?: Eyelash Extensions

Hey everyone! So my next installment in the “Is it Worth It?” series is here!

Today we are talking about eyelash extensions, the hot new trend to get those lashes looking fierce 24 hrs a day. SO many beautiful ladies on Instagram and otherwise adore these, so I thought I would make my frugal self give them a try.

First, lets just start with the looks:

As you can see, there is a HUGE difference! I loved the way they looked. I got the natural instead of the “volume” just as a personal preference, but if you want them thicker you can definitely do so. These costed $150, the volume is priced at $200, and for these particular lashes my stylist used Nova Lash, lashes that you can put oil on (mascara ect) and you can get them wet immediately after. They tha bomb. It took about 2 hrs total to get them all on, so prepare for a longer appt.

As for wear and tear, for me personally things stick to my hair/lashes/nails abnormally well. That along with my obsessive habits of taking perfect care of them, they looked perfect and full for over three weeks. Usually you get a “fill” costing $40-60 every 2-3 weeks or when you have about 70% of your lashes left, i had only lost maybe %10 of the lashes on my second week but for most it is more.

Would I do this again? Absolutely. I went ahead and let this particular set fall out naturally because the stylist I got them done by’s schedule and my schedule couldn’t seem to align in time to consider it a fill, so ive decided to wait until they are all finally out until I book another appointment.

This is definitely a splurge item, but the confidence it gives without literally any effort in the morning or use of product is worth it. Its also a huge time saver and let me tell you, I have SENSITIVE eyes, and I barely felt these things on. It took me like an hour maximum to completely adjust.

Overall, if you have the means to do a little treating yourself, do it with these! they are way better and more practical than acrylic nails in my opinion!

If you have any questions at all, please ask! And of course I hope everyone has a beautiful and safe holiday<3

Ill be back with more content soon! xx Sierra
