Review: Wicked Good Cupcakes

Hey Everyone!

So recently Justin and I were watching one of our favorite shows, Shark Tank. Its a show where people present their business ideas and inventions to a panel of very wealthy investors, in the hope they will invest in their companies for a percentage of their business. Most of the time the “Sharks” receive samples of the product, and the other day we say a mother daughter team presenting cupcakes. After all the extremely positive responses to the taste, of course we had to try!

Don’t those look delish?

We went with the S’mores for me and J got Marble Mutt, you can order a 2 pack for $19.95, and it had said $5 flat rate shipping. When I actually checked out, the shipping was actually like $9 and with the tax it was about $30.00, which is a ridiculous amount of money for 2 cupcake jars, but I was honestly so curious so I bought them anyway.

Would I get these again? Honestly…. no.

It wasn’t as good as I had thought it would be, there wasn’t a lot of cake in the jar itself (which was very small) and it had a crap ton of frosting. The Mallow frosting in the s’mores cupcake didn’t taste like marshmallow at all, and the cake was a bit stiff. J liked his, but for me it was too sweet with all the stuff in there. Shark Tank (ehem Mr. Wonderful) you let me down!

That being said, it did taste good, but it was not worth the expense. And lets be honest, Sprinkles always wins in terms of cupcakes, so if you need a fancy cupcake fix order some of those instead or just make some at home!

I hope this helps you in your sweet tooth endeavors,
