For today’s blog post, I wanted to share one of my husband and I’s favorite weekend snacks, crispy hot wings!
Now like I’ve said before, this is not one of the healthiest recipes, that’s not what I’m going for. I just want some tasty wings! This recipe is so simple, it’s a no-brainer.
1 package of Chicken wings (flats and drums 10-12 pieces)
1 bottle of wing sauce of your choosing (I like red hot’s and crystal sauce!)
1/2 Stick Butter
1/2 cup Flour
1/2 tablespoon season salt
1 tsp onion powder
1tsp garlic salt
1 tsp chili powder
Aprox 1/2 a bottle of vegetable oil
1/2 cup milk
Alrighty, now first you want to prep your mixes , start by mixing the season salt in with the flour, and spreading it out on a plate. Then take a separate bowl and whisk the milk and eggs together. Next, you want to pour about an inch deep’s worth of veg oil in your frying pan, and turn in to medium high to get it warming up. Lay it a few layers of paper towels to cool the wings on once fried. Now you are ready to really get things started!
Start by dipping and coating the wings in the flour mixture, then into the milk/egg mix, then back to the flour! This is what gives it that extra crispy goodness.
To tell if your oil is ready, wet your hand and flick it on the oil and if it pops, it’s ready! Put those bad boys in there. Fry them for about 10-15 minutes until they are a nice dark golden brown and cooked throughout.
They should look a lil something like this!
After five minutes cooling time, pour your sauce into a big bowl, melt butter and combine, throw the wings in, and toss till fully coated!
Voila! You’ve got wings!
I hope you enjoyed this tasty simple recipe, let me know if you have made it or have another tip for me, until next time,
